The Washington School Safety Patrol program is a voluntary group of fourth and fifth grade students. All patrols are recommended by our school staff, and have demonstrated superior citizenship throughout their time at our school. This year we have 37 safety patrols, including 3 lieutenants and 1 captain.
Our safety patrols dedicate their time by arriving at school early and leaving late. They hold ten different posts throughout the school and help all students begin and end the school day safely. Example of duties that our patrols perform are: assisting kindergarten students, allowing buses/vans to enter the driveway, organizing the dismissal of bus/van students, working with crossing guards, and aiding our teachers with the arrival and dismissal of the students in all grades.
Students who wish to be apart of this program in the future, should demonstrate ALL of the "Pillars of Character" each and every day!
