It is time for "PIE the Teacher"!! Each student can get an opportunity to be selected to throw a pie at a teacher of their choice. Each raffle ticket costs $1. The whole school can watch to see all of the fun.

Ramadan Meal Observance Overview
We are pleased to share important information regarding meal accommodations for students observing Ramadan in 2025.
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has approved a waiver allowing schools in New Jersey to provide non-congregate meals to students fasting during Ramadan.
This means that eligible students can receive lunch in a manner that aligns with their religious observance beginning the week of Monday, March 3, 2025, through Friday, March 28, 2025.
Program Guidelines:
Who is eligible? Only students who are fasting during Ramadan may receive non-congregate meals.
Meal distribution: Meals will be available for pick-up after school only for students who attend school that day. The location will be determined and communicated from the individual school.
No duplicate meals: Students who receive a non-congregate meal cannot also receive a meal during the school day.
Meal eligibility: Meals will be provided based on Free, Reduced, or Paid eligibility.
Meal limits: Only one meal may be provided per student per day.
School days only: Meals will only be available on weekdays when school is in session.
Participation flexibility: If a student chooses to consume a meal during the school day and then participates in the non-congregate meal, the appropriate charges will incur.
If you do not wish to participate, no action is required.
*PLEASE NOTE: If you register for a meal, and then need to cancel for any reason, please email Food Services at food.service@edison.k12.nj.us to inform them of the cancellation.
A meal order must be completed for each child.

The following dates and times have been set aside for in-person parent-teacher conferences: Thursday March 13 5:00-6:30 PM and Thursday March 20 5:00-6:30 PM
THESE ARE EARLY DISMISSAL (1:30PM) DAYS
Conferences will go live on the Genesis Parent Portal on February 26, 2024. To sign up for a conference, please complete the steps below:
On the Conferences tab screen, a link will appear at the bottom that will say "Schedule conference for Parent/Teacher Conferences.” You just need to click this link and you will be presented with all conference options for your child. That means that all teachers within the student's schedule will be shown.
You can reserve a conference time for the teacher by clicking on the “Reserve” button under the teacher and time.
Once a time has been reserved for a teacher, that time slot will no longer be available. Do not schedule two conferences at the same time as this will not be accommodated. An email notification will be sent when a parent reserves or cancels a time. In addition, conference reminders will be sent out 48 hours prior to the conference to the email address of the parent account that reserved the conference.
Weekly Updates: Tomorrow Tuesday February 25th Academy will start back up this time it will be grades 2-5 Math. 1st grade reading! Academy will start at 8 am! Thursday February 27th we will be having our family night it starts at 5:30! Friday February 28th is a school spirit day! Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for 3/13 and 3/20. These are 1:30pm dismissal days for students.a copy of which is being sent home today/tomorrow. You can sign up for a conference in the parent portal starting at 8am on 2/26. If you cannot access parent portal please press forgot password and it will allow you to reset your password to access your account. Have a great last week of February!!

Last night, Edison High School's Lemelson-MIT InvenTeam showcased their remarkable progress on an innovative project to mitigate pollution in New Jersey’s Raritan River, aiming to support both residents and local biodiversity.
One of only eight nationwide, the team was awarded a $7,500 grant from the Lemelson-MIT Program to develop an innovative solution to pollutants in the Raritan River, a crucial water source for over 1.8 million residents.
Thank you to everyone who attended and engaged with the team, asking insightful questions as they refine their project. Your support fuels their innovation!
Let’s celebrate these young problem-solvers as they work toward a cleaner, healthier future and prepare to present their final prototype on a national stage at MIT's EurekaFest this June.
