Washington Elementary School wrapped up Autism Acceptance Month with a meaningful and engaging celebration. A parent author, Kathy Lassandro visited to read her newly published book Different, Just Like You to student ambassadors and self-contained classes, promoting understanding and inclusion. Students also participated in “Bubbles for Autism,” creating a fun and symbolic moment of support. The celebration concluded with a special visit from former student Eddie Lin, creator of Ausome Balloons, who delighted students with his balloon creations. Throughout the month, students embraced the importance of kindness and respecting one another’s differences.
